Sometimes is aint' no fun to be the boss

I just terminated the position of a 20 year employee. She is an excellent employee which whom I have no qualms. She does good work and has a good attitude. There were a few issues such as her lack of knowledge of financial accounting and slow learning time on computers but all-in-all she was a good employee.

I have hired a new person as my CFO and he can do all of the duties that I need on teh financial end plus the duties of this former employee so it did not make any sense for me to keep her on board.

I hate firing people and hope I never have to do it again. But I know I will and I will do my best to be completely fair about it.
